PCC Dress Codes and Policies

Pensacola Country Club Amenity Dress Codes and Policies

It is expected that members will dress in a fashion befitting the surroundings and atmosphere provided in the setting of our Club that can be best defined as “Club Casual.” Club Casual will be enforced at all times unless otherwise specified for Club functions and events.

It shall be the members’ responsibility to advise their dependents and guests of any dress requirements in effect prior to entering the Clubhouse. Minors are to follow the same guidelines as adults.

Clubhouse Attire

Club Casual can best be described as a manner that is appropriate to the pride and traditions of the members of this historic Club.

Golf attire is considered Club Casual, and will be allowed in the clubhouse for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the Trophy Room and Woodrow’s Grill.

Tennis attire is allowed in the Trophy Room and Woodrow’s Grill for lunch only. Tennis attire is not acceptable for dinner.

Gentlemen should wear their golf, tennis, or button-down shirts tucked inside their trousers at all times. The club will allow shirts that are designed to be “untucked,” such as a “Tommy Bahama” style or an “Untucked” designed shirt.

Gentlemen should always remove their headgear while in any area in the clubhouse except in the Men's Locker Room or the Golf Pro Shop.

Not long ago, denim clothing was prohibited as it was deemed “too casual” for a private club setting. The Board recognizes that fashion trends have changed, and "designer/tailored jeans" have become appropriate and acceptable in many social settings. Consequently, denim is now permitted in the common and casual areas of the club, provided the denim pants are not cut-offs, and free from rips, tears, patches, holes, or frayed bottoms and shall not be distressed, cargo, baggy, or acid washed. Members wearing denim are asked to abide by the intent of this policy. Denim is prohibited on the golf course and practice areas and in the Bayview Room.

Swimming attire is not acceptable inside the Clubhouse. Persons in bathing suits should wear the appropriate outerwear and footwear when inside the clubhouse or on the balcony of the Trophy Dining room. Any form of underwear/undergarments, thong style or see-through swimwear is prohibited. Bathing suits should not be visible by the cover- ups and should be appropriate in length covering the skin.

Fitness center workout attire should provide appropriate personal coverage while working out. Fitness attire is not acceptable in the Clubhouse and individuals must be appropriately attired to enter the Clubhouse.

Unacceptable Clubhouse attire includes gym shorts, jogging shorts, cut-off shorts, bathing suits, tank tops, casual tee-shirts (with or without silk screen art,) cargo pants and shorts, midriffs, and the like.

Members, minors, and guests in violation of the dress code will receive a written reminder of the dress code from the General Manager. Further violations will be reviewed by the House Committee with a recommendation for further action. Repeat offenders will be subject to the violation policy.
